Cabinet Unit Heaters

Cabinet Unit Heaters

Selection and "Rough In" Made Easy - Only the Lengths Vary

The Beacon-Morris Cabinet Unit Heater is the industry's most recent design. Years of manufacturing and engineering experience combined with a concern for appearance have resulted in a crisply styled unit that will blend with almost any room decor and provide reliability, durability, individual control and quiet operation. The wide selection of floor, wall and ceiling units with a variety of air flow arrangements allows for exactly matching design requirements. Field repainting to match the decor is possible and factory applied decorator colors are available as an option. Recessed models are provided with a field installed wall seal that allows for full or partial recessing depending on the model. The wall seal is also available as an optional kit for full or partial recessing of most other models.

As unit size increases, only the length changes. The depth and height remain constant, thus allowing the designer to have uniformity of appearance when units of various sizes are installed in adjacent areas. The standard 16 gauge front panel is rugged enough to withstand harsh treatment. Exposed cabinetry is provided with a prime coat of neutral eggshell baked enamel, which in many instances can serve as the finish. Back and side panels are 18 gauge. The pedestal base for floor models is painted black and is the height of most mop boards. The solid state speed control provides infinite variations from high to low speed, giving the occupant finger tip control over fan speed and room temperature.

Beacon-Morris cabinet unit heaters are CSA certified.

Steam/Hot Water Units

Steam/Hot Water Units

Steam and Hot Water Unit Heaters are comprised of a heating coil that is energized by either steam or hot water produced by a boiler or some type of central water heating device. Hung from the ceiling, a fan mounted behind the coil forces air through the hot coil thus drawing heat out of the coil and "throwing" it in to the area where heat is required. This product works on the same principle as your car's radiator. As your car engine runs and produces heat, coolant is pumped through the engine to a radiator coil in front of the engine. The fan under the hood blows air through the radiator coil drawing the heat out of the coolant, which helps to dissipate excessive heat from your engine.
Beyond commercial/industrial uses, Beacon/Morris has created Serpentine unit heaters that can be easily installed in your garage, basement, crawl space or work-shed. We refer to these as Serpentine units because copper tubing winds its way through the aluminum coil and efficiently draws heat from the hot water as it is pumped through it. As you can see by the accompanying photograph, our Serpentine unit heaters are tapped on the side which allows for easy installation close to the ceiling as well as making piping in to your existing forced hot water system easily done. We recommend putting the heater in an out of the way corner of your garage and our optional OSHA approved fan guard will ensure safety during operation.
Our Serpentine units come in four sizes with BTUh outputs as follows based on 200-degree water temperature:

  • HB-108A -   8,030 BTUh
  • HB-118A - 18,400 BTUh
  • HB-125A - 24,800 BTUh
  • HB-136A - 35,900 BTUh

In cold parts of the country, especially in Alaska, these powerful, compact unit heaters are considered a necessity to keep winter's grip out of the garage and to make for easy automobile start-ups on the coldest of mornings. Even if you don't live as far north as Alaska, Beacon/Morris Serpentine unit heaters are a great choice for your comfort as well as for adding value to your home.
Beacon-Morris steam/hot water unit heaters are ETL certified and verified.

Twin-Flo Kickspace Heaters

Twin-Flo

Kickspace heaters are the space-saving alternative to hot water baseboard. Designed to fit inconspicuously under a cabinet, in the floor, on or in the wall, kickspace heaters are ideal for hard to heat areas such as foyers, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Hot water from the home's boiler is circulated through the kickspace unit and the fan gently blows heated air into the room. The homeowner simply selects the fan speed, then the unit turns on and off automatically according to heating demand.
Twin-Flo III ® kickspace heaters are your ideal solution wherever space is limited:

  • Under Cabinets
  • In Kitchens, Baths, and Foyers
  • Under Stair Risers and Windows
